Country house with gourmet space and rooms designed specifically for each child. This was the client's request to the Spazio Arquitetura office, which designed the 1,000m² project in Itu, in the hinterland of São Paulo.
“This couple with four children wanted each room to reflect the personality of each child, with a color palette that suited each child. And there is a sixth bedroom which is used for guests and a home office. All rooms provide comfort, with indirect lighting.”
The cumaru wood roof is not difficult to maintain, as the architect explains, and was made by carpentry company Gibi. Every 10 years the varnish needs to be repainted so that it remains durable. Regarding this project, the culinary area stands out.
“The architectural project already existed, but we made a gourmet room to order, he wanted a family room, that's why the barbecue and pizza oven were disguised. In addition, it also features a champagne maker, ice maker, beer maker and a service kitchen with a dishwasher, refrigerator and sink. In the gourmet room there is also a living room with a fireplace and TV.”
When the project was taken over, the project was still in the construction stage. Thus, it is possible to participate from the selection of finishes for the kitchen and culinary area to the layout, details and purchase of furniture.
“All finishes are designed to convey the warmth of a country house, with intimate and social wooden sections. The outdoor area features Tresuno, a monolithic floor that imitates granite. The gym was positioned beneath the park’s plateau and ultimately camouflaged.”
